OrynTech is a software team in Kigali, building web platforms, mobile apps, and AI products since 2011. Most of the work we do is for clients outside Rwanda, across Europe, the Gulf, and North America.
Why Rwanda
Four things decide whether an offshore market works for you. Here is where Rwanda lands on each of them.
We work on GMT+2. That is a full working-day overlap with Europe, close to full with the Gulf, and a solid morning overlap with the US East Coast. Questions get answered inside your day rather than the next one.
Senior engineering time in Rwanda costs a fraction of Western European or US rates. The difference is cost of living, not seniority, which is what separates Rwanda from the cheapest offshore markets where you pay twice for the same work.
Rwanda produces a large number of engineering graduates every year and has had an established software outsourcing sector for decades. Finding and keeping senior developers here is a normal hiring process rather than a search.
English is the working language of Rwandan software teams. Code, documentation, and calls are all in English. Arabic is native, which matters when your product ships to the Gulf and the interface has to work in both directions.
Why OrynTech
We are a software development company in Rwanda, working out of Kigali almost entirely for companies based somewhere else. Building across borders is the normal case for us, not an exception we make.
What we build
Each of these has its own page with the full detail. The short version, from the angle of a buyer outside Rwanda, is below.

Live PlatformWorking with us from abroad
If you have not hired in Rwanda before, these are the things worth knowing before the first call rather than after it.
You contract with the Rwandan company directly. There is no offshore holding entity in between.
Invoicing and payment run through the channels an international client already uses.
This is the question every foreign buyer asks, so it gets a direct answer rather than a qualified one.
Three models, chosen per project rather than applied by default.
Our week runs Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 to 18:00 EET, which is GMT+2, or GMT+3 during summer time.
We run the same three phases whether you are in Kigali or Amsterdam. Initiate maps your business, scope, and success criteria into a roadmap before any code is written. Ignite is design and sprint-based development against a staging environment you can watch, and Impact covers launch, training your team, and the support that follows it.
Initiate
Business and technical analysis, scope mapping, and a milestone roadmap with dates.
Ignite
Design, sprint-based development, and continuous QA against a staging environment you can see.
Impact
Production launch, documentation, training for your team, and support after handover.
FAQ
OrynTech is a software development company based in Kigali, Rwanda. Our office is at Norsken House, Kigali, Rwanda. The signing entity is OrynTech for Programming Technology L.L.C., registered in Rwanda, so you contract with an established legal company, not an individual or a broker. Kigali is Rwanda's capital and primary technology hub, home to world-class tech institutions including Carnegie Mellon University Africa, giving us a continuous pool of talented senior software engineers. Clients are welcome to visit the office, but most of our work runs remotely.
Yes. Most of our work is for clients outside Rwanda, across Europe, the Gulf, and North America. We have delivered projects for clients in Rwanda and abroad. You contract directly with our Rwandan company, and the governing law is agreed per contract rather than fixed to Rwandan law. We work in English, invoice in USD, EUR, or RWF, and run projects remotely with weekly demos and a staging environment you can access from day one. Many international clients choose a software development company in Rwanda for the mix of senior skills, strong time zone overlap with Europe and the Gulf, and long-term reliability.
We work Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 18:00 Central Africa Time (CAT / GMT+2). That gives a full working-day overlap with the Gulf, a strong overlap with the UK and Europe, and a morning overlap with the US East Coast. For clients in North America, we plan standups and reviews in the overlap window and use clear written updates for the rest of the day, so work keeps moving while you sleep. For teams that work Monday to Friday, we agree at the start of the project how to handle the days that do not overlap, so there are no gaps in communication.
We invoice in USD, EUR, or RWF, depending on what suits you. International clients usually pay by bank wire over SWIFT, or through Wise or Payoneer. Payments follow the engagement model you choose. For fixed-price projects, which is how most of our projects run, payment is split across agreed milestones, so you pay as work is delivered. For dedicated teams and retainers, we invoice monthly. All invoices come from our registered Rwandan company, OrynTech for Programming Technology L.L.C., with clear line items that your finance team can process without back-and-forth.
You do. Clients own all deliverables outright once the final payment is made, including source code, designs, documentation, and any content we create for the project. OrynTech keeps rights only to pre-existing tools and generic components we brought to the project, and they stay usable inside your product. This is written clearly into every contract, so there is no confusion later. At handover, you receive the full codebase, access to all repositories and accounts, and documentation, so your own team or any other partner can continue the work without depending on us.
Yes. We are happy to sign your NDA and your MSA, or we can work from our own templates if you prefer. Either way is fine with us. We usually sign an NDA before the first detailed conversation, so you can share your idea, data, or business plans freely. Confidentiality continues after the project ends, and we never show client work publicly without permission. Many of our clients, including government and enterprise organizations, require strict confidentiality, so this is a normal part of how we work, not a special request.
We offer three engagement models. Fixed price per milestone works best for projects with a clear scope, and most of our projects run on these terms. A monthly retainer with a dedicated team suits long-term products that need steady development, support, and new features. Time and materials fits early-stage or research-heavy work where the scope is still changing. We choose the model per project rather than applying one by default, and we explain the trade-offs in the first call. Many clients start with a fixed-price project and move to a retainer or a dedicated team once the product is live and growing.
English is our team's working language, so code, documentation, meetings, and written updates are all in English. We also work in Kinyarwanda and French, which matters when your product ships to users across Rwanda and the wider East African region. We design and build multilingual interfaces and review local-language content, so your product reads naturally to the people using it rather than feeling translated. This makes OrynTech a strong fit for multilingual platforms, from websites and mobile apps to e-learning systems.
